This diminishes the action element of the game to a certain extent and can make gamers feel a bit like they are watching the action unfold in front of them rather than actually taking part in it.ĭespite its title, Serious Same 3 BFE really doesn’t take itself too seriously. Unfortunately, there is not really much of a combat element to the game and most of the shooting and other fighting happens at a bit of a distance.
There are plenty of cool weapons to use in the game and blasting the bad guys into smithereens can be a lot of fun. Outside of the secrets and NETRICSA descriptions there actually werent THAT many funny moments in the first two games, unlike SS 2 whey they try to shove as many slapstick moments and silly characters as possible down your throat. While the levels are new and present fresh challenges, the game play is almost identical and there really isn’t all that much to discover here. The AS-24 Devastator (or simple the 'Devastator') is a fictional moster-of-a-weapon of what appears to be a hybrid of an Armsel Protecta and a Hawk MM1 grenade launcher (with a name inspired by the AA-12, including a reference to Maxwell Atchisson in NETRICSA's description for the weapon) which can be found later in the game and via a few secrets. Players who have played the other Serious Sam games may well find that the novelty of the game has worn off by now. Discovering these secrets can be a lot of fun and players will also be tasked with figuring out exactly what the secrets are and how best to use them. One of the cool things about the game is that a wide range of secrets are hidden on different levels. While these quips can be a bit funny at first, they can get rather annoying after a while and players may well want to put a gag on Sam.

The character has plenty of personality, which usually presents itself in a series of quips. Gamers are invited to follow Sam Stone as he explores the cool world with guns blazing all the way. Is this enough to make the game a hit? Read on to find out. As with the other instalments, Serious Sam 3 BFE features great graphics and smooth game play. One again Sam Stone is back to take on the bad guys as only he knows how.
